The recently founded Helmholtz Institute for One Health (HIOH) together with its founding partners the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, the University of Greifswald, the University Medicine Greifswald and the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut, Federal Research Institute for Animal Health are forming a new hub for One Health research in Greifswald.
At this occasion the first joint One Health Conference in Greifswald (OHCG 2022) will take place on 27-28 April 2022, directly after the opening ceremony of the new institute. The conference is being organized with additional local partners: the Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology and the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg.
The OHCG 2022 aims to promote interdisciplinary interaction and collaboration between the different approaches and directions of human, animal, and environmental health within One Health research, as a prerequisite for the further development of the entire research field.
The OHCG 2022 will be organized in three sessions:
- Session 01 - Pathogen-host-environment interactions
- Session 02 - Past, present, and future of zoonotic events
- Session 03 - Antimicrobial resistance, vaccinology, and prevention
