Information about Employee Bike Leasing

The State Government introduced an employee bike leasing scheme with salary conversion for all public sector employees and state civil servants on 23 October 2024. The State Government’s partner firm is Baron Mobility GmbH. Employees can use the bicycles to travel to and from work, but also privately.

For any questions regarding the bike leasing scheme, please contact the Central Office for Employee Bike Leasing at the Landesamt für Finanzen M-V (State Finances Office): dienstradlaf.mv-regierungde

Please note that you are responsible for organising your bike lease by registering on the online portal of the leasing company. Your registration is then processed, verified, approved and managed by the Central Office for Employee Bike Leasing at the LAF. The University (HR Department) is not involved in the process.

Further information on employee bike leasing is available below.

Please make sure that you first verify whether you belong to the group of entitled persons [de].

1. Registration

Use the partner code and your email address to register on the online portal [de]. Partner code for civil servants MVRADB, partner code for public sector employees MVRADT.

2. Order

Choose your desired bike at a bike shop or in the online shop and have the bike dealer use the QR code on your personal mein-dienstrad.pass to enter the bikes you are interested in. You must confirm your selection in order to submit a binding request to your Central Office for Employee Bike Leasing at LAF. The Office decides whether you are eligible for the leasing scheme - further information can be found on this information sheet [de].

3. Leasing agreement

A leasing agreement is then drawn up automatically by the system. All you need to do is download the leasing agreement, sign it and upload it again to the portal.

4. Approval

If the Central Office for Employee Bike Leasing at LAF approves your request, you will receive the authorisation certificate that you present to the dealer in exchange for the bike.

5. Delivery

The dealer indicates on the online portal that they have delivered the bike. If you have ordered your bicycle in the online shop on mein-dienstrad.de, the bike will be delivered to the address you provided. The lease begins. Your salary will be changed automatically. FAQs (in German) regarding the scheme can be found here [de].
