At the University of Greifswald’s Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, junior professorship for Stochastic Analysis, in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, there is a job vacancy starting for next possible appointment, subject to the allocation of funds, for a part-time (75 %)
Research Assistant.
The position is to be filled for a limited period of 3 years. Payment will be made according to pay group 13 TV-L Wissenschaft.
Job Description:
- Integrate modern LLMs and rule-based reasoning in the context of Polish-German language acquisition
- Develop immersive XR environments to simulate bilingual resuscitation scenarios
- Collaborate with linguists and emergency medicine physicians
Job Requirements:
- University degree (Master or equivalent) in computer science, mathematics, or physics
- Prior experience, or strong interest, in at least two of the following:
- Integration, implementation, or development of deep learning models, particularly LLMs
- Classical rule-based reasoning: automata, behavior trees, etc.
- Integration, implementation, or development of XR experiences
- Fluency in at least two out of these languages: German, Polish, English
- Open source development in the areas of deep learning, XR, or games desirable
