By improving its THE Ranking, the University of Greifswald has reaffirmed its success in the equally important
Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2020
that evaluates individual subject areas. In this ranking, the University received good placements in the rankings for dentistry and oral hygiene, ecology, biotechnology, biology and psychology ().‘By gaining successful results in two of the most significant global university rankings, the University of Greifswald clearly demonstrates its academic strength as a result of the exceedingly positive developments of recent years,’ says Prof. Johanna Weber, Rector of the University.
Using the same methods every year, the Times Higher World University Ranking has been published annually since 2010. The ranking is produced by the magazine
which is published in London. It is based on data from the areas of teaching, research, citations, knowledge transfer and internationality of a university. The THE Ranking is among the serious, data-based rankings and thus enjoys an excellent reputation.
