Corona regulations

As of 5 June, the outdoor facilities of the Botanical Garden and the Arboretum are open to the public again. According to the Corona Landesverordnung MV, address data must be left for contact tracking when visiting the facilities. We therefore ask you to use the Luca app (the QR code is posted) or to fill in one of the forms provided (don't forget the visiting time) and drop it in the boxes provided. These boxes will be emptied daily, your forms will be kept for a maximum of four weeks and then destroyed. Please follow the rules: Avoid grouping and keep your distance! We wish you a pleasant stay and look forward to finally welcoming you back to our facilities.

Arboretum

Directions by car
Starting in the centre of Greifswald, take the Wolgaster Straße out of town and turn right after approximately 900 metres onto the Walter-Rathenau-Straße. Then turn left onto the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Straße. After a few metres, you will find the entrance on the left.

April-October| 9.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m.

The Arboretum is closed on 24th and 31st of December.


Greenhouses and Outside Area

Directions
Starting in the centre of town, take the Goethestraße. After a few hundred metres, the road turns into the Bahnhofstraße. This road leads to an underpass before you get to the train station. After the underpass, take the roundabout exit towards Grimmen. After 200 metres, a sign will point you in the right direction, i.e. to the left.

On public holidays, Saturdays and Sundays
December-February| 1.00 p.m. ­– 3.00 p.m.
March, April, October and November| 1.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m.
May-September| 1.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m.

The Botanical Garden is closed on 24th and 31st of December.


Historical Greenhouses

The historical greenhouses consist of a tropical house, palm house and palm fern house. However, due to renovation work, the buildings are not open for visitors. After the renovation work has been completed, the historical greenhouses will focus on tropical ecosystems.
