Welcome to the Transfer Service of the University of Greifswald. We are your contact for successful knowledge and technology transfer between science, industry and society.

The University of Greifswald also makes its knowledge accessible, usable and sustainably effective outside the university context. It promotes the transfer of findings from research into various areas of society and practical applications. This takes the form of spin-offs, research and development projects with external partners, policy advice, protection of intellectual property through patenting and public lecture and cultural event series.

The employees in the Transfer service area offer you the following support:

• Funding programs: We will inform you individually about funding opportunities for the implementation of your transfer project and support you in the application process.
• Inventions and property rights: If you see a commercial exploitation option for your research results, we will inform you about property rights and exploitation options and support you in protecting them. Third-party funding management is responsible for patent applications at the University Medical Center.
• Start-up service: We inform, qualify, advise and accompany you in the realization of your business ideas: from the development of ideas to the application for subsidies and financing to the founding of your company.
• Project development: We bring you together with suitable business partners and networks and provide targeted support for the implementation of your R&D project ideas.
