"Forschung Vernetzt helps simply because it offers an opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues you don't see every day."

Have you got a research question and are you looking for methodological or technical expertise? Do you have specific methodological expertise and a corresponding tool and are looking for applications for it? Are you curious or new here and want to talk to researchers you don't know yet? Do you see societal challenges to which you are looking for answers across disciplinary boundaries?

... then take note of "Forschung vernetzt" on 12 June 2024 at the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg!

With this casual, effective networking event, the Prorector for Research has been inviting researchers from Greifswald to get to know each other and exchange ideas across faculty boundaries since 2018.

At last year’s „Forschung vernetzt“, we were very happy to see more than 70 Greifswald-based researchers engage in lively discussions. Please feel welcome to come back, and, if you have not joined us so far, to participate this year!

Key details:

  • Date: 10 April 2025, from 2 p.m.
  • Location: Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg Greifswald
  • Agenda: 2 sessions with pitches, coffee break in between, followed by the opportunity for an apéro and informal exchange in the cafeteria and, weather permitting, also in the inner courtyard of the Wissenschaftskolleg.
  • Registration: please register via the registration form

Pitches & Networking: You can a) participate with a 5-minute pitch in which you outline your research interest and networking needs, or b) come to the event as a guest and then network actively. In both cases, please register.

Speed-Networking Noticeboard: You are very welcome to use our speed-networking noticeboard before we meet in person at the event. The noticeboard allows you to find out about the interests and needs of your colleagues in advance of our meeting. As we are expecting researchers from non-university research institutions in Greifswald to participate in "Forschung vernetzt", the entries on the noticeboard will be publicly visible in April, May and June 2024. Please bear this in mind when making your entries. You will find the noticeboard here.

Participants: With the goal of interfaculty networking and the perspective of joint research projects, "Forschung vernetzt" is primarily aimed at researchers who are themselves eligible to apply to the usual funding institutions, i.e. after completing their doctorate. Doctoral researchers are welcome as guests!

The Prorector for Research, Digitization and Transfer, Prof. Dr. Ralf Schneider, is the academic director. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Dr. Stefan Seiberling, Maria Moynihan or Dr. Julia Metger at the Centre for Research Support (zffuni-greifswaldde).
