The Ambassador met with the Rector of the university, Prof. Dr. Katharina Riedel, and Prof. Dr. Marko Pantermöller, Head of the Nordischer Klang Festival [de]. H.E. Marika Linntam learnt more about the University of Greifswald and the culture festival Nordischer Klang. She then signed the university’s guest book. The Ambassador also visited the Department of Finnish and Scandinavian Studies with its guest language lectureship for Estonian language and culture. During a meeting with lecturers, she discussed current research and teaching collaboration with Estonia.

The Rectorate presented the Ambassador with a textile reprint of the map of Livonia from the Atlas Selectus...von allen Königreichen und Ländern der Welt [de], by Johann Georg Schreiber (1676-1750), published in Leipzig around 1750. The map itself is held in the historic map collection at the University of Greifswald’s Institute of Geography and Geology.
